Thermal Management Guide

Thermal Management is one of the most important aspects to successful LED Luminaire design. Performance of the luminaire can be greatly affected by the quality of the thermal management system. Poor execution of thermal management can cause early failures, poor color, and reduced light output.

In order to ensure proper performance of Brillia LED Light Engines, care must be taken not to exceed recommended datasheet values for ambient temperature surrounding the LED and power supply components, as well as the designated temperature measurement points on the LED modules and drivers. Temperatures at these points are critical to achieve rated lifetime and performance, and required to maintain warranty conditions.
